My interest in anthrozoology began whilst undertaking an anthrozoology module within the BSc in Animal Science, this single unit paved my way to future study on both the Post-Graduate Certificate in International Animal Welfare, Ethics and Law and the Masters in Anthrozoology. I chose to complete my dissertation project for the MA at the education establishment where I worked as a Further Education animal management lecturer after working for several years with many students with poor wellbeing. I was lucky enough to witness firsthand the positive effects human-animal interactions could have on student wellbeing and this has hopefully been the first of many research projects I will conduct in this area.
